Nicholas Rauscher, Class of 2017 - Rauscher won a national scholarship from the American Association of School Administrators (AASA) for creating a video where he talks about how he’s “Redefining Ready.”
Rauscher won $1,000 as the Region 4 runner up. The AASA Redefining Ready! National Scholarship program encourages America's graduating seniors tell the world how they are college, career and life ready beyond a single test score.
Rauscher was one of 16 to earn a scholarship in the national program. As part of the scholarship, students had to submit a 30-second video on Twitter that used one or more of AASA's Redefining Ready! metrics to demonstrate college and career readiness. Examples include completion of an internship; AP (Advanced Placement) or dual credit classes while in high school; near-perfect attendance; or participation in clubs, sports and school activities.
Rauscher is studying at Drury University in a five-year master of architecture program and is also working toward a double major in business administration.
