1993 alumnus assumes command of Army college in Kentucky

Captain James Broeker, Class of 1993 - Broeker assumed command of the Headquarters and Headquarters Company of the U.S. Army Recruiting and Retention College in Fort Knox, Kentucky during a ceremony on June 8.

Broeker and his wife, Amy, and their children live in Louisville, Kentucky. He is the son of Ralph and Billie Broeker. Ralph Broeker is a former member of the Pattonville school board.

The Recruiting and Retention College is a specialized school designed to train Army career counselors who help potential recruits and current soldiers with issues about joining or re-joining the Army. Counselors learn about basic recruiting, guidance counseling, career counseling, reserve components transitioning, advance NCO training and mobile retention training.
