Noelle Brooks, Class of 2014 - Brooks was selected as a Fulbright-Garcia Robles grantee for 2018-2019. The U.S. Fulbright Student Program provides grants for students to conduct research projects at international institutions or to teach English in a foreign school system in over 130 countries. The grant is highly competitive and awarded to students whom the foundation considers to be exemplar cultural ambassadors. Brooks will teach English as in Campeche, Mexico at the Universidad Autònoma de Campeche.
Brooks recently graduated from the University of Central Missouri (UCM) with a double major in international studies and Spanish and a minor in political science. She was a member of the Honors College and graduated cum laude. Brooks was also selected for the Outstanding Undergraduate Award and Outstanding Senior International Studies Award. She was honored for being instrumental in organizing a Peace Corps program for UCM, which did not exist on campus before.
