In the final full week of school, students in Ms. Libby Hilker’s second grade class organized a spirit week for everyone at Remington Traditional.
“We were asked to because we had our own spirit week a few weeks ago and people saw the fun that we were having and wanted to get in on it.”
The fifth graders at Remington Traditional graduated from the DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program on Tuesday during a ceremony in the school’s library.
The annual Black History Month Living Museum event at Remington Traditional has been held for more than 20 years at the school and second grade teacher Ms. Libby Hilker did not want to see the tradition end due to the pandemic.
The 14th Annual Area-Wide Middle School Book Battle was held this morning. Teams from Holman, Pattonville Heights and Remington Traditional competed with 21 other schools. The event also featured three different author visits.
Three Pattonville School District teachers earned their certification as a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) and a fourth, Tracey Robinson, is among a small group of teachers across the state of Missouri to receive a certification for the third time. Robinson initially received her National Board Certification in 2001 in the area of generalist/middle childhood and renewed in 2010 and 2020.
